I don't think the skin will be loose. If you're young, your skin has alot of collagen and elastin so it won't stay stretched out, it's tight. As you get older, your skin loses this ability. Let's just say that I'm 30 and my weight has fluctuated 40 lbs up and down quickly and my skin has never been stretched out.

First of all, there are many things to consider. What is your age? the younger you are the more elasticity your skin has and retains collagen. It sounds like you may be young and may not have to worry about "flab" or loose skin. Secondly, another factor is genetics. Do the women or men in your family have loose skin on their arms or tummys? Many people can gain and lose weight throughout their lives and not have a problem with the elasticity. It also depends on the amount of weight one loses. A drastic amount, like 30+ in a short time can leave loose skin. From the sound of it, it doesn't seem like a lot of weight that you are talking about. One can always exercise to keep their body toned and "flab free." My concern here is the numbers you are giving us. Personally, I don't think you are overweight, or that you need to weigh less than 97 lbs. For your height, even that sounds a bit unhealthy. Please see a doctor for a professional opinion and for info on how to lose and gain weight the healthy and proper way.

I agree about the stretch marks - if it is as important to you as it sounds what your body looks like, then trust me don't keep going up and down. The stretch marks are the worst looking and there's NO WAY to get rid of them other than expensive surgery. Trust me pick a weight and stick to it, or you will end up even less happy with your body from all the effects.

If your 4 ft 11" , and weigh76 pounds, you should eat about a dozen cheese burgers a day until you can't count your ribs anymore. Not good to splurge and purge. Causes throat cancer.

My daughter is your height and thin as a rail and weighs about 88 lbs. She would be in the hospital if she weighed 70 lbs.

Any time you weigh a certain weight then loose weight, there is going to be flabby skin. Your weight now is perfect. You should see a dr.

probably not, more like skin and bone. 97 pounds isn't bad for someone that hieght but anything less then that may have some serious health issues.

As you get older you will. Also it is not good for your heart. Please, just pick a weight and stay with it. You are not fat at 97 pounds.
