I know this may seem stupid but I am not Christian - even if I was I don't think that I would go on and on about God every chance someone asked one little question. I belonged to another religion and I never went nuts about my beliefs and told everyone about them constantly. I never told anyone unless they really wanted to know. So whats the deal? Why are most Christians so insanely obsessed with God that they feel the need to talk about him at every given moment?

Those that are forgiven much, love much.

Also, To love the worldly sinfull behaviors is to not love God. To love God, the old man has got to go by confessing to God repentence for not believing is Jesus Christ & confessing Jesus Christ is Lord & believe in the heart He raised from the dead.

When one is forgiven much, one loves much.

Remember the lady that was caught in the act of idolatry? Remember the people that were delivered of demons. I know personally someone who God healed of a crippling disease at a Benny Hynn crusade. She made a fool of herself because she could move without pain (she had suffered too many months), though she cried when she told us her testimony.

When God heals someone, all sins are forgiven.

When God loves us, we love Him back. His heart is for people to be reconciled to Him. So, His children want people to find Him also.

He has not given us a Spirit of fear/timidity, but one of love & sound mind. I claim my sound mind in Christ. I'm not insane. I love God & I will be a fool for Him anyday. What He thinks is what matters.

Obsession? Yeah, you could say so. It is because we are intensely in love with God. We have come to know His peace and love in our hearts, and our lives have not been the same since. It is a calling that nothing of this earth has ever been able to satisfy. Sometimes, when we take a little time to open ourselves to Him, the joy we feel is almost indescribable. It's like getting a taste of Heaven.

We don't mean to look pushy or make you feel that way, we only want to share the joy that we are feeling with you, and sometimes desperately want you too. Yes, sometimes life is hard and everything isn't rainbows and butterflies, but in our hearts we know that there is light ahead, and it is more wonderful than any pain we are going through right now.

I would like to know, why aren't you obsessed with your faith? From your question it seems that you aren't.

I am a Catholic and I love God, but I see God as a teacher, not something or someone to be obsessed with. Catholics are Christians for the record, but most people not of my faith, the born-agains and the hardcore will take God and Jesus too far. They think they know the truth about the Bible, that is false, no one, not even the priest in my church know the full truth about the Bible. The Bible was all written by man and is full of errors. To live your life according to it is insane. Not all of it is accurate.

Pardon me for pointing out the obvious....but aren't you guilty of it right now?
Aren't you going on and on about God now???
So why are you saying that this is solely a "christian" problem. Some of the loudest mouths out there about the existence or non-existence of a God are NOT Christians, but in fact the opposite.
So it really is a potAto/potAhto question....

Because it's just that, some are obsessed with a figure, story, idea, belief...like other people get obsessed over other things. What I personally don't like is that people will recognize obsession in other forms, but if it's over religion, and not necessarily healthy (into it fine, obsessing, no), they don't see it.

Some Christian sects ( mainly Baptists and non-denominationals) follow the tenets of the "Great Commission".
This "commission" from Jesus suggests that his followers have the duty to go, teach, and baptize - which unfortunately may make people be a little too pushy about their faith.

Not most Christians but the fanatical ones or the evangelical ones. They feel that it is their duty to spread the word of Christ. Most of them are brainwashed and can't think for themselves. Many of them haven't even read the bible let alone know how to interpret it. They just follow like sheep whatever their pasotr or preacher asks them to do or say.

If you were a Christian you would understand why. The Bible says "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every person."

We are living in the last days, we want to ensure that everyone we know has the opportunity to hear the gospel and respond to it.

because a true Christian tells others about the Lord and wants others to know how God can change their lives for the better. we want everyone to be able to enjoy the love of God. so get over it and stop trying to convince us that we're wrong
