I do, but just to stay informed. Read prophecy into it all you want. People do things like that all the time. Predict the end of the world. You want to know what they all have in common? They are wrong.

The world has always had cruel people in it. If you fixate on this, they'll consume you. Look for the good and you'll find it. There is enough in the world that you can't control. You can, however, control your outlook and what you choose to think.

I read the paper and try my best to keep informed. I'm more than aware of the turmoil in the world. However, I've already been around long enough to have gone through other times when there were those who thought it was the end of the world. It wasn't. I don't believe it's the end of the world now, either.

The 'end of time' is of the christian religion.

As far as believing that we are living in the last days, no. We are living in sad days. People losing their jobs, murder, rape, stealing...it's all pretty bad and you can't turn on the TV without seeing something like this on the news. Like this morning for example, the woman who drowned her 5 children in the bathtub (about 4-5 years ago in Texas) was found not guilty due to insanity!?!?
5 beautiful, innocent children dead and this murderess gets to go to a mental heath facility instead of the 'chair'.

Times are bad, even in areas you wouldn't think of. But, for those of us who are living a good, decent life there is always hope for a better tomorrow. You can't let the news depress you or get to you. What you can do is let it get you fired up to take a stand against such 'badness' in this world.

I see what is going on in the world, it is not any different than it was ages ago, we just have the technology to spread the news world wide so it seems the problems are greater. My soul, as you call it, does not need to be saved from anything. I chose to live a good life and do NOT believe in the christian idea of hell or satan. I agree about how sad it is that people chose to use negative energy when there is so much good energy around us.

Christians have believed they were in the last days for almost 2000 years. This is nothing new. If they would accept the time frame given by Jesus and read the judgment language as figurative (like in the OT) in reference to actual events they would realize that "the end" was referring to the end of the old covenant which occurred in 70AD when Jerusalem and the old covenant temple were destroyed.

cruel people help the news get ratings and make money.without 'cruel' people, the news channels wouldn't exist.i think some of us wouldn't be able to stand world peace because then it would one day get mundane.trouble here and there is what makes life interesting and it gives people a reason to reflect and how to improve their mind, body and soul.

-people tend to care more about cruel people usually if it hits close to home and something bad happened.some are still oblivious but not forever because nobody is immune from facing trials and tribulations.i worry about cruelty happening towards me or the ones i love but some things i have no control over so i try not to worry so much about it.i just make myself aware and be more careful of my surroundings.

I live each day like it's my last (I still plan for the future), but I know that I am right with God. I don't think the end is near, it'll get a Lot worse than this. I know my soul is saved. Is yours?

My hubby turns the news on every morning, and at nite to stay in touch with what is going on. Yep I believe the end is near, and we're Christians trying to do the right things!

Swedenborg said the last judgement was in 1757 - strangely the beginning of the industrial revolution and the end of the Middle Ages.

I have the same thoughts everyday. I don't take life for granted so I make sure that I treat everyone as nice as possible and respect them as they should. We could die anytime so we have to make the best out of everyday.
