First of all in the bible homosexuality is a sin.
Second of all it's just what luvmymaddix said.
Christians are closed-minded (at least those devoted ones), they take all liability from people and don't understand that people are different, with different needs and beliefs. Tear's nothing wrong with being gay. It also says in the bible that it's a disgrace for a man to have long hair and yet you won't find any image of Jesus with short hair in any church or monastery anywhere in the world.
The bible was written about 2000 years ago, when people had completely different principles. I mean it says that you are allowed to sell your daughter into slavery (which is the reason why I, as a dedicated feminist, spit on it).
I wish that Christians could just understand that.

How can some people be so close minded as to say that all Christians hate gay people? I actually know many many Christians and most of them don't hate gay people, because Jesus calls us to love everyone.
Maybe take the time to get to know a little about the people you are generalizing about.

I'm a christian and I don't hate gay people but like God and His Son Jesus Christ I hate sin period (even my sins). Sin is all the same in God's eyes. To Him there is no difference between stealing, lying, sexual lust, murder or any other sin. 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11 New King James Version - Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. You can repent and God is just to forgive you if you have a personal realationship with Him and His Son Jesus Christ. I used to think I could do that just by telling God I was sorry but soon found out that to repent meant to turn away from that sin (like fornication) and not do it anymore. I could never do that not until I made Jesus Christ the Lord of my life and was filled with the Holy Spirit like the Apostles in Acts 1. After that it slowly became easier to turn away from my sins. But first you have to realize you're sinning, I know for me that's not always easy. Just disobeying God is a sin and sometimes you don't realize you're being disobedient. A true christian will not hate you it's the ones that have religion that call themselves christians. A Bible teacher named Joyce Meyer talked about that once. She said, Just cause people go to church that doesn't make them christians. I can sit in the garage all day but that won't make me a car. She is so right on that. I called myself a christian even before I was actually one. God loves you and so do I.

Because Christians always have to have someone to hate in the name of righteousness. They always have and always will hate someone for something. It makes them feel Superior.
They hated people who worshiped other Gods in Rome
They hated Muslims
They hated the natives of the America's
They hated the Africans
They hated the supposed witches
They hated the ex-slaves
They hated the African Americans who were trying to become equal under the law
Now they hate the gays
And I am sure I left out a few other groups they have hated or do hate...
Jesus is not happy.

simple, Jesus didn't hate them but God said that it is an abomination Leviticus 18:22
This passage says that homosexual intercourse is an abomination and a perversion -- a perversion as bad as bestiality, or having sex with a woman while she's having her period, or child sacrifice, or adultery. There is no passage in the Bible that is clearer than, "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." This is a direct commandment prohibiting homosexual unions. This passage clearly associates homosexuality with perversion, including committed, loving same-sex relationships. Any "face-value" reading of the Bible must admit that Leviticus 18:22 prohibits sexual intercourse between men.

I think your question is judgemental and closed minded.
Not all those who follow Christ Jesus 'hate'.
I have come to understanding about the Lord Jesus the Christ and that is, when he came, he fufilled the prophecy and brought a new covenant to the world. That is, the Old Law about 'man shall not lay with man as he lays with woman' is in the same book of Leviticus as "and man shall not wear clothing made of two different fibers". Pull that from the book, and ask why that 'hater' pastor is being proud of his sin for all to see wearing a cotton/polyester blend? Sin is Sin and it all separated us from God. Jesus rectified that for all who believe in him.
I still don't hate you.

becuase Jesus was perfect...humans arent whether they are chrisitan muslim jewish whatever the religion may be the bottom line is humans arent perfect. and many times humans reject and are afraid of the unknown. they dont know how it works what it does how it feels so they become afraid and reluctant to buy into it. the Lord says its an abomination and Christians live to fulfill the Lord and Jesus' orders and do thier best to follow them. Sodom and Gomorrah(plz excuse my spelling if its rong) and that how lifestyle was anilated by the Lord. homosexualiy is still to this day referred to as sodomoy at times...Christians are doing thier best to live up to thier Lord's orders and plans.
Try to explore thier beliefs on the matter more before referring to them as closed minded and hating gay ppl. you may get to understand it better and learn to accept it and how to work with it

I can only speak for myself here. I am a Christian and don't hate gay people, but like Jesus, hate sin. The Bible speaks out against such sexual relationships. God hates sin, but loves the sinner, and Christians should follow that example.

not all christians are like that, i'm a christian and i dont hate gay people at all, i have a couple bie sexial friends, one of them is my best friend, gay people will not go to heaven unless they repent to the lord and not act on same sex attraction, some christians dont want to biuld relationships with them, because if they dont repent by the time jesus comes back, the christian will go through hell, becuase they were so close, i am trying to get my gay friend to repent and so far she has done better.
