No one knows if he had a beard. The New Testament doesn't tell us about a beard. He probably had one because traditional Jews had beards back then. But maybe not, it isn't as though we have pictures. I think if Jesus were physically on earth today, he would do whatever he wanted about his facial hair. It isn't really important in the vast scheme of things.
