Staffie's have about the same energy level as labs, at least that's what I've found. And most don't start to settle down until about 3 1/2 - 4 years old. They have an extended 'puppyhood'. When I had my lab I used to have to run him for 1 hour in the morning, another hour - 1.5 hours after work, then another 1/2 hour in the evening. This was up until he was about 5.5 years old.
Sorry - but what ever excercise you're giving him, he needs more. Maybe train him to run along side a bike (not on busy streets!!!), that might help. Also, if he's not 'altered', he should get 'snipped', that will help also.
Good luck!

Staffordshires are very high energy dogs. Although he might be getting "plenty of exercise" from your point of view, it still might not be enough for him. A young Staffie needs as much as two hours of intense exercise each day. Keep up the current level of exercise and also try some new intense activities like inviting another dog over for a play date if he's dog-friendly, playing fetch (try the "Chuckit" so your arm doesn't get tired), or riding your bike with him (try the "Walky Dog" bicycle attachment). The bicycle attachment is my personal favorite get-the-dog-tired toy for those times when you don't have a lot of time to exercise the dog. My energetic dog is usually tired after only 15 minutes or so.

Well if he is still intact I would start with getting him neutered. That breed is generally a hyper breed. They usually require lots of exercise. And generally do not slow down until they are older. Taking him on long walks may help, it is not only good for him but also for you. Get him another dog to play with. If you don't want another dog, try doggie day care or the dog park a couple times a week. The extra exercise will help him calm down.

however he's outdoors, he may no longer be getting sufficient workout. Take him for a million/2 hour walks, play fetch, and so on. two times or 3 cases an afternoon. If he's a wide, severe-power breed (labs, goldens, dalmatians, and so on.), he will be hyper for a good even as and could choose quite some workout to calm him down. education is likewise significant. yet another ingredient is that, being an outdoors canines, he may purely be overly excited even as he sees you. dogs purely love human beings!

Dont go straight for the snip, u could have it done and the behaviour still be there as it wasnt sexually related, castration is not the solution 2 every problem. Your dog cud have an artificial castration injection from ur vet, as it says this gives u time 2 assess ur dog without hormones running wild if ur dog is calmer THEN consider it as a possible solution

You have won one staffie, they start out like lunatics then eventually start to calm down, how many times have you seen an owner dragging their staffie for a walk?

A good bone is a must. Always have a real bone for him. Peanut butter inside the bone is great. Buy the good ones and they last a long time. It'll give him something to get his energy out on.
