What you say is true. A case of do what I say not what I do. Besides, if you are excited about something, it is only natural to want to share that something and have other people get excited about it too. People shouldn't get overly upset about that but they do.

Well,I think that and sometimes say it,but I just ignore it more often than not.I mostly let people talk and express an opinion.Only if they're open to it,though.I'm not going to push any religious beliefs in someone, although I have been known to push some, like cheese really is good, reading can be fun,and Yahoo Answers can be educational, and that's why I'm on it so much.I'm in the process of creating my own god, though, along with a set of rules I think he would like.I'm not going to tell anyone else about him, though.I don't want to be pushy...

Of course, they most likely follow a liberal tendency (in the Russellian sense) with the pushing of beliefs, whereas your pushing beliefs is done dogmatically. They appreciate the fact that no conclusive answer has been found to all the questions pertaining to Faith, and so, until better proof comes along, would appreciate it if you didn't stick your own beliefs down people's throats. However, once said conclusive answer is found, they'll gladly adopt it, knowing it to be correct.

A lot who say that are open minded. But a fair number mean, "You shouldn't push your beliefs on other people. You should just believe my beliefs."

I don't think so. I ask people to not push their beliefs on me, but I allow them to have their own beliefs. For example, I might ask a Christian to keep his religion to himself and not push his beliefs on me. That doesn't mean that he has to believe in my religion. It's just different.

Not if all you say is that you think that we shouldn't push our beliefs on other people. It's when you try to force other people to think that it becomes pushing.

I believe that one can share one's belief with out pushing their beliefs on others. It just takes mutual respect between all parties.

Sometimes one can get exuberant and it will seem like pushing.

Pushy Pushy. Pushing is being overtly aggressive. Telling someone something is not being pushy. But by not being open to other beliefs that your own are the only way to be, is being pushy. Everyone has their beliefs and should be respected of their point of view, its ok, calm down......

I don't push my own beliefs on others... how a person exercises their religion, non-religion or spirituality is up to them and them only. However, I do not control what others do, say and think and can speak for no one but myself.

Not at all. How can that even be possible unless I respond by pushing what I believe on them. Makes no sense, just don't want to hear it, plain and simple
