I had a really bad cold last week and felt totally miserable, so I know how you are feeling. I took hot steamy showers in the morning and a hot bath at night when I came home from work. I took paracetamol and boiled some lemonade and stirred some honey into it. If I'd had it over the weekend, I would have resorted to the good old Scottish remedy - the hot toddie - warm water, whisky and sugar - either kills or cures! Felt great within a few days. Hope you feel better soon.

Request a fan from your superior, under the circumstances you need one and if they don't have one, go to the restroom, get a cold towel (paper towel will work) and place it on the back of your neck until the end of the day (you may have to re-wet it from time to time. Then tonight, go purchase a small desk fan.

Get a large fan to place where you are working at that will help. Another thing you can do is get a window air unit.

Buy a small personal fan and sit it on your desk, drink plenty of water and if that doesn't work talk to your Dr about putting you on your maternity leave.
