Special constables where the same uniform as police constables, The only notable differance being SC written on their epaulets instead of PC.
SC's also carry a warrant card with the words special constable written on it, where as a PC whould have police constable written on theirs.
Also the special constabulary does not have sergeants they have an equivelant which is known as a section officer.

It really depends on what country thy're in. In the US the badges are the same but the appearances aren't, for example, they can carry it on the belt or in the flip which is accompanied by their I.D.
