I don't accept that there is only one right person for everyone out there. You could marry a fish and make it work out for life. It takes mutual love and teamwork.
Now that being said, if you find yourself attracted to a blood relative - you need to get out more. You are hanging around your relatives WAY too much. There are too many fish in the sea to go picking the ones that live at home. Going beyond all the social taboos, there are things called recessive genes. These are the weak genes, the ones that work against living a happy healthy life (being born with "lobster claw" hands is one example of a recessive gene). If you believe in survival of the fittest, these are the least fittest genes. Now, normally we don't see the genes come to fruition, because they are overruled by a dominant gene (i.e. a strong, good gene). However, when you match two of the same recessive genes together, the recessive gene will come to fruition.
Now why is that important. Because the chances of running into the exact same recessive gene while making a child with someone outside of your blood relatives is tiny. The chances while making a baby with someone of a different race are even less. However, there is a good chance that a blood relative carries the same recessive genes you do. And if you make a baby with them - guess what, the chances of one of those recessive genes come to fruitition is very good.

If he is your mom's cousin, then how is he your uncle?
Regardless... no you should not tell him. It will make things very awkward at family gatherings. Even if he feels the same way, he is family and that is just wrong.

if he is your mom's cousin, i don't think that makes him your uncle...but i wouldn't tell him! nothing would come of it because you are family....if you did tell him, there would probably be some weirdness between the 2 of you for the rest of your lives

Your moms brother would be your uncle. Your moms cousin would be your second cousin. You did not indicate ages or anything. If you are female and he is male, I suggest you exercise restraint. We wouldn't want him getting intor trouble would we?

IF he's your mom's cousin, for legal purposes, he's your 5th degree relative and thus there's no legal impediment for you guys getting married, let alone dating. (Your only prohibited from marrying your fourth degree relatives, who are your first cousins...but some states even permit you to marry your cousins like California, NY NJ Hawaii Florida...etc)
Contrary to popular (but erroneous) belief, ITS NOT INCEST. Incest only applies to your immediate family members, parents, siblings and your kids.
Anyone outside that group isn't incest...bottomline is he's not that close a relative for them to prohibit you from seeing him. Too far related, he's a stranger as to you.
Go for it.

If he is your second cousin (the son of your mom's cousin) you could marry him. But I think he is you first cousin once removed. I would avoid getting involved with him as it could lead to kids with genetic problems.

Yes it's wrong. He is family.
Telling him you like him will probably result in the rest of your family finding out.
Liking your uncle will be the least of your problems then.

No you should not tell him. I had a crush on one of my cousins cause she was, well still is hot as hell even though she is older but being attracted to someone is human nature but it doesn't mean one should always act on their feelings.

Think of it this way. If you have children with him, your children would actually be your cousins. Since he is now your second cousin, any children he has becomes your third cousin, so your children would be Fourth cousins. So your own children would also be your cousins....
