I can't find anything under 2,000 for myself, my husband and my baby girl (4 months old, would carry her on my lap). Can anyone help me? I've been to the big sites, expedia, flights.com, edreams...any ideas???

I fly international alot. The best way to get good airfares is to check the individual airlines often, at least once a week. They often have sales for a short time, less than week, but you can get some great ticket prices if you will spend the extra time working on it. Check the links below and watch them. I live on the west coast, so my best flight may be different than yours. Sorry. I hope you have a nice trip.

The problem is you are trying to buy a ticket at the last minute. You want to fly starting Aug 11th. That is barely 2 weeks away. The airline fare schedules have the cheapest tickets available for you to book 21 to 30 days before your flight. Once you are under 21 days, you will pay the 14 to 21 day fare schedule which is significantly higher. Then the highest priced tickets are those sold within 7 days of your flight.

In addition, the cheap seats sell out quickly. You really need to book 30 to 60 days in advance to get the best prices. So consider moving your travel date (or just go to the web sites you have used and put in dates for Sept or Oct) and you will see the difference.

Italian airline Eurofly usually do not show up in the major online airfare bookers. They serve NYC with nonstop flights in summer from major cities in Italy.

it's really hard to find under considering that you're booking very late if it's for next month, and another factor is that you're going during summer time when air fares are higher since the demand is high. check with travel agencies they might find cheaper than websites.
