Too many complaints about aspartame. If you are going to use an artificial sweetener, go with Splenda. It has the least complaints about side effects. But the really best way to go is Stevia. It is a totally plant sweetener (nothing artificial) that is so concentrated that it has no calories and NO side effects. It's getting easier to find. WalMart carries it and almost all good health food stores.

Aspartame = aspartate + phenylalanine
Since it does contain phenylalanine, make sure you don't have PKU

Research is very mixed on the benefits of aspartame
A trend seen in aspartame consumers is obesity
It is still unknown whether this is b/c more obese ppl consume aspartame or whether ppl gain weight while consuming aspartame

One theory is that the body reacts to sweetness by increasing its metabolism
BUT once it discovers that sweet no longer means calories, it decreases metabolic activity, so the next time you have a diet soda w/ a burger & fries, you won't burn it off

Yes I had heard approximately this, so learn it underneath: Discovered in 1965, aspartame is a low-calorie sweetener that's utilized in greater than five,000 merchandise international, adding tabletop sweeteners, quite a lot of meals and carbonated drinks. Because aspartame is as much as two hundred instances sweeter than sugar, little or no aspartame is want for the preferred sweetness. Aspartame is comprised of 2 amino acids, or protein add-ons, aspartic acid and phenylalanine. Aspartic acid and phenylalanine are constructing blocks of protein which might be determined in all protein-containing meals, adding meats, grains, and dairy merchandise. Aspartame is made whilst those 2 amino acids are joined and a methyl institution is further. This methyl institution breaks down throughout digestion and types methanol. Methanol is determined certainly within the frame and in lots of meals corresponding to fruit and vegetable juices. The frame metabolizes the amino acids in aspartame the equal as the ones from different protein-containing meals.

Nutrasweet won't affect your security. It might affect your health though. There is some suggestion that it causes cancer in younger people, but the evidence isn't very strong.

Russell Blaylock is a quack, and is in the business of selling a product. That means you can't beleive anything he says.

The real scientists in this world don't go around publishing books designed to scare the crap out of people and get them to spend money. Real scientists publish research, and are not in it for the money. Here's a page with links to information about aspartame.

It is not safe to use any food with aspartame. I think that is your questions.

There are many illnesses that have been liked to this product and it can be dangerous. Aspartame is an excitotoxin and has been scientifically linked to brain tumors, brain cell damage and neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, headaches memory loss, vision loss, coma and cancer.
It mimics or worsens the symptoms of such diseases and conditions as fibromyalgia, MS, lupus diabetes, chronic fatigue and depression. to name just a few. That's enough reason not to use this product.

If you need a sugar substitute try Stevia.(I think I spelled that correctly)
