It feels like there is something inside your leg and it wants to get out and you have to shake your leg to stop it.
There are drugs to take like Mirapex.

Restless Leg Syndrome is a very common ailment in our modern society. There is no need for medication though. 9 times out of 10 it is a deficiency in magnesium. Go to the Vitamin Shoppe and get a good whole food multi-vitamin that contains at least 50 mg. of magnesium. Take it as directed every day.
Your symptoms will lessen over time. It should take a few days to up to a month for your symptoms to go away. It depends on how deficient you are.

I have RLS, I've had it since I was a little kid. It doesn't affect me unless I am trying to sleep. If I am sitting in a chair, or at the movies sitting, even driving, at least one of my legs seems to be constantly moving and shaking. It drives my fiance crazy, but I can't help it. When I am trying to sleep, I can lay there for 30 minutes just moving my legs before I stop and am able to fall asleep. I've never taken medication for it, I've just kind of learned to deal with it.

I have it and it drives me nuts. It doesn't occur every day but most of the time when I go to sleep and can't help but jiggle my leg/foot. After awhile it goes away and i drift off to sleep.
My dad had it; wonder if it is hereditary.
Honestly, I didn't know there was any medication to help so i'm happy to have stumbled upon this question!
Good Luck!

Yes. It is an uncontrollable urge to move the legs.
Often medications for depression and/or anxiety can cause it.
A med that works wonders for RLS is Requip. Talk to your doctor about it.
Have a nice day.

It does keep me awake sometimes. Fortunately, my wife is a heavy sleeper. Once she conks out, I can't wake her. If I fall asleep first, she may have issues.
I am not taking medication, but I'm considering it.

My husband has that. It drives me crazy when we are sitting on our couch together and he keeps shaking it. He says he doesn't even notice that he is doing it.
