OK, this might sound weird, but, my friend and me are trying to learn to play the piano...after getting totally depressed from trying (and failing) to "stretch" across the keyboard to reach all the keys we figured it would be a lot easier if we just had longer fingers....so...heres the question:

Is there an exercise/ way to help lengthen fingers???

Clean suggestions please, and no sarcy comments, it is a strange question but there is logic behind it...honest....lol...

Playing the piano takes hours upon hours of practicing... not only to get the right rhythm, sound, keys.. but also to exercise our hands and fingers.. and mind. Eventually, you'll be bale to get to where you want to be. One of the things I needed to do was put my hands up against the other, flat. Then, slowly move the heel of my palm away so that my fingers were still straight. At one point, I was able to do this and almost have my palms in a horizontal position. I still do this from time to time, though not nearly as complete as I use to (age and arthritis).
Find new ways to exercise your hands and fingers by finding fun, yet complicated music to practice.. but realize that it's all a process of learning. Enjoy what you do and it will show up in your music.. honest.

Years upon years ago, there was a silly movie of a piano teacher and his student. The student wore a hand with fingers hat.. I think it starred Danny Kay..

I do not know about fingers but what I am 100 % sure of is that playing pianro requires short nails because I used to play piano so having longer nails will make things worse.

you cannot lengthen your fingers, it might still grow longer as you get older, but not significantly. but one technique is you can just "jump" your fingers across -- don't worry, you'll get used to it. i have an auntie who has short and stubby fingers, but she plays the piano pretty well. it's not really how long your fingers are, it takes patience to play the piano really good... and it takes years to be an expert in playing the piano but you'll get there.

ok, i honestly don't know if this works.
but in my religon they saw the more u krack your knuckles the longer your fingers will be.
and i'm not trying to be sarcastic.. though it may sound a little weird.
if that doesn work out for you.. u might just have to learn to move your fingers faster and more gracefully along the piano.

I think it means you're good in bed. Or maybe that's when your second toe is longer than your big one. Anyone?

I seriously doubt anytning other than HGH will help.
you can however bet a friend that you can play 5 c notes at one time. Use your nose for the middle one:)

My father plays instruments beautifully and he has chubby bear claws. I don't think long lengthy fingers are the answer. I think practice, practice, practice, is the answer.

There's certain nail polishes and things, but the best way is to keep them clean by buying a nail manicure kit and TRIMMING them when they get to long. Trust me. I know you want to grow them long, but keeping them trimmed will fasten up the growing process.

of course you can excersie them. First try to reach an octave. Then do the C scale in octaves.
