I agree. I've been reading their Koran, and it's pretty obvious to me that someone is pretending to be God in it. Satan must have come to Mohammed "appearing as an angel of light." It is expertly choreographed to mislead the unwary. A very dangerous document.

Allah is Arabic for God
God is English for God
Deo is Latin For God.

Just because it is a different word does not mean it is the same thing. England is still the same country wether you call it England or Angloterre.

Islamics do not believe that Christ was the son of God, nor do Jews. by your arguement the King James Version and New International Version are totally different books with no likeness at all.

just so you know, I spent an hour listing the dictionary to write this reply, so don't you dare not read it!!!!!!!

Allah is the same god for Jewes, Christians and Muslims. If you read the bible you will find that Avram is the predecesor of all Jewes. He had two sons. The first one was the son of him and his wives slave girl, since his wife couldn't carry children. Later on his wife managet to give birth to a son, who was the predecesor of all Christians. Avrams wife then convinced Avram to chace away his first son and the boys mother. That boy became the predecesor of all Muslims. I really don't know why youre eager to dismis this. Jesus was killed because he claimed that he was the son of god. Till this day Jewes don't worshipe Jesus like Christians do, but still in esence their god is the same (the old testament was taken out of Jewish holly books). Also in the kuran Muhamed acknowledges both Mosis and Jesus, but they are both only prophets to him, which Moses is to all three religiones. And here is something else, Jewes are forbiden to speak out the name of their god and thats why both Christians and Muslims prefer to him only as GOD. If you don't like Muslims it's ok. But you have to acept their religion as potentialy right, like all others, including atheistic. You should also try to learn all about as many religions as posible, there is a lot of wisdom in each one of them regardles wheter you belive in it or not. You might also find something that makes more sense to you than your own religion, regardles of the way it's belivers understand it. Most of the religions are misinterpreted aither purposely or not (just think of the crusade). Think with your own head and have understanding for the world around you.

so you believe there is MORE than one God?
(this sounds worse than saying that Allah and God are the same) I agree there are many beliefs and different names and ways to worship, & there are many differences...
but there is and will always be One God.
Great Spirit
Allah
what ever the name, one the same........
do you believe that?
some older (pagan)religions believed in different Gods, more than one -to control different aspects of the world and it's people.
But I think that's not what you're saying...think on this...
many different religions, God showed himself the way that would suit his people best.He is like a beautiful cut diamond and has many faces......that are worshiped regardless because of one thing that is the same between people all over the world
we believe
and that's all that matters...
god bless!

Please read other books? are you kidding?!! The bible talks about phoney gods and idol worship of other gods. Allah is a made up god that says killing innocent people will get you virgins in heaven, who thought that up? there will be NO sex in heaven, it will not be needed, so why would "allah" promise such things? If you worship any God other than our savior and lord Jesus Christ, you wont like what you find on judgement day, you will find out that you have been lied too and decieved and satan will laugh in your face becuase you believed him. Christ Jesus is NOT the same god, do not believe that lie.

Allah is the old polythiestic Moon-God.
I think its supposed to be like God has contacted many different cultures. Those people all have different names for god, but the Idea of monotheism is that there is "in fact" ONE GOD, despite appearances.

I agree with trevor22in. They are the same.

Remember, at its base religion is a mythology. The Romans, Vikings, and Egyptians all had their religions and gods. Modern society does too. In a few thousand years, people will believe something different and the bible, the Torah, and the Qu'ran will all be on the same playing field as the myths of Zeus.

I'm fine with religious faith; people are free to believe as they choose. I acknowledge what you believe. This is what I believe. Do you have the fortitude to acknowledge it and meet me on the common ground of humanity, or do we let such petty differences as "your God is not my God" divide and conquer us?

Wait a minute...... Allah is the God of Abraham, and God the father of Jesus is also the God of Abraham. You know, Abraham, the one who made the original covenant?

Agreed! And people need to stop saying Jupiter is the same as Zeus! One's the father of Venus the others the father of Aphrodite. Not the same person.
