I have a form in Adobe Acrobat (the most updated version) and I need to add text. I've tried using the text field tool and was able to add the text but it does not show up when I print.

on your printer settings, there's a place to select "print document and markups". You only have "print document" selected.

Not all pdfs allow you to add text. If it isn't showing up there could be some kind of layers issue, have you tried taking that page to a new document?
Normally when I want to add text to a pdf I open it in photoshop and add the text that way, because of these kinds of problems with adding to existing pdfs.

'lady' is close, once you fill in the blanks, save the document, then to print it, you may try 'edit'>select all>file>print. see how this does
