You couldnt be more right. Kids today aren't appreciating there youth and when they grow up theyre are going to realize that they shouldnt have spent their whole childhood trying to act older. Its ridiculous to have kids dating in middle school and even more, elementary. Then its a shame when they end up pregnant. Kids shouldnt be in such a rush to have sex and be in serious relationship, there is plenty of time for that later in life. But i cant put all the blame on them. TV, music, movies, the media, it plays a huge role in why our youth is trying to grow up so fast. You cant watch TV or listen to a song with out there being some type of sexual gesture or profanity taking place. Its a horrible thought that its probably only going to get worse. If the children of today are our future of society , its a scary thought to think about what the future holds...

There is nothing wrong with having sex. It's a natural part of the teen age years. For a parent, you simply have to prpare them for it. Talk about it at the true age they start thinking about it 10 or 11. If you think that is too young you are only fooling yourself and the kid is who will suffer in the long run.

Wow! I'm glad I'm not only one thinking that way.

I think it's result from parents using television as a baby sitter for the kids, letting kids have all high technologies such as internets, cell phone, ipod, etc... Also I'm suspicous that adults have something to do with it, but I can't quite point my finger onto what it's.

I'm pretty sure the adults must have do something to make kids feel like it's a shame to be a kid.

I think girls wanting to be pregnant tend to want a child to fish for compliment and attentions from adult. They want people to flock around her and her child and say "aww she/he is so cute! she/he have her/his mommy's eyes and lips" They think adults have lot more fun. I use to have a exgf who want a child because she want attentions from adults and be respected and looked at as a adult. However that got me break up with her and her wind up going to counselor for a while because I told her parents about it.

I'm also very suspicous that medias have a lot to do with it. Look at all old Disney movies and television show such as bug bunny then compare it with today Disney movies and television show. You'll notice big different. I am pretty much convince that those who are in their 20's are the last generation to really know what it's like to be a child.

The world is falling deeper and deeper into debauchery. Sex and promiscuity is portrayed as cool and fun. If you have morals and respect yourself enough not to have casual sex then you are looked at as a prude and social outcast.
Remember when you were a teenager? You knew everything about every subject and every consequence that could happen, it wouldn't happen to you. Teens think they are omnipotent and indestructible. It's only when hindsight kicks your a.ss that you discover the truth of the situation.

Yeah it is really sad. Life moves to fast nowadays. They are going to look back on their youth and be sad that they missed out.

Notice all the grown folks agree with you and all the naive kids want you to butt out. Lol. I know I will not let my son grow up too fast if I can help it.

Man you hit the nail right on the head. Alot of the problems are the homes we are creating for our children. Absentee fathers, men in and out the house, rough neighborhoods, single moms working long hours, music videos violating females. Our children need positive role models around to help stop some of these problems.

I am personally a teen and I see what you're talking about, I think that it's because of the media and whatever the media says these guys/girls do like little "media monkeys" nobody wants to be themselves the want to be fly so they develop a false persona to fit in.

can i add to yours??? lol, THANKS...

i know what's wrong with them today, their parents were way to young to have children, and was not able to either complete school or enter college because they had to work to support their..."habit"...(kids) and now, those children being neglected and wanting to feel love, are home alone....
