Some people argue that when two people can't get along, fight, say mean things to each other, or are just cold towards one another and separately depressed, it is an unhealthy environment for the children. It is argued that kids will do better if such people divorce and then separately have fulfilled lives. A happy parent makes for a happier child. The thing is that those same people in an unhappy marriage may not be happier alone.
I am still not sure on a personal level whether there are any really good sides to divorce and whether it is better than a lousy marriage. The only time I think is divorce is good is when one of the spouses is abusive towards the other. No one should take that or represent to the kids that it is acceptable.

Lets you leave behind the bad and start fresh. Hurts for a long time sometimes but you are better for it.

divorce is not good .... spouse gets hurt, children get hurt, families get torn apart... don't see any good in that... sorry
