I just don't see any language jobs in usa. I majored in a foreign language and it's like I'm a useless piece of junk, ,and i don't even use the language except in my own mind. But i've talked to chinese and japanese.. they major in English and then they can have great jobs as Translators.. I never see any Translator jobs in America or in my city( Although they arre badly needed cause i see many foreign people confused in america with no help) but these asian people in asia, succeed with English as their major

I think it depends on what language you learned. I know a girl who is American (an army brat), but grew up in India and Saudi Arabia. She spoke Hindi and Arabic, and various other languages besides English. She had no trouble getting a job with the government. Maybe if you majored in French or Spanish, it might be hard to find a job here for you, since so many French and Spanish-speaking people already live here.
