You need to condition and reinforce. That means make the dog lie down and roll him over. While rolling him speak loudly and say "rollover" when he does it get really excited and say "good boy!!!" and "good job!!!!" then reward him with a treat.
Repeat over and over again. Eventually he'll start to do it alittle, then do it alittle more, then he'll do it all the way. But don't stop making him lie down and rolling him over, giving praise and treats until he can do it all on his own when you say "rollover"

First, teach your dog sit. Start out with using a hand signal and the one simple word, "Sit!" Push down their rump, say "Good Sit!", give them a teeny tiny piece of a chewy treat, and repeat the process. Soon they can do it with just the hand signal OR the one word. Repeat this ten times a day or so until they get it.
Secondly, get them to sit and say, "Down!" with a different hand signal. Press their shoulder blades down gently with the treat infront of their nose. Move the treat slowly down to the floor so he/she follows it until he/she is on the floor. Repeat this ten times a day or so until they get it.
Now, tell them to "Sit!" then tell them "Down!" (while saying "Good dog!", of course!) and say "Roll over!" while pushing them onto their belly and rolling them over. This will probably take a long time to work, but it's so much fun seeing a dog do that!!!! Good luck with everything!!!

The way I did it was, in the beginning, I took my hands and rolled her over while saying "roll over". She would growl, but I ignored it. Then after a few weeks, when I reached out to roll her over, while saying "roll over", she would roll over herself. Then a few weeks or months later, I would say "roll over" while at the same time moving my hand in a circular motion. And she would roll over. I can't remember if this training included treats or not, sorry.

If he knows lay down, then you get him in that position and hold a treat and circle it saying roll over and he will eventually get it.
