Whole grain is better:

Whole grain means, using all of the grain (whatever type), good because the outer shell contains B vits, fibre etc.

multi grain just means contains different types of grain (wheat, barley, oats etc) but they can be processed which removes nutrients.

Check the ingredients for salt, sugar, and any preservatives/flavourings (basically, if you can't understand the ingredient, don't eat it!)

Porridge oats, raw or cooked with milk (dairy, soya, rice), are best for breakfast, add nuts, dried fruit and honey to taste.

For bread, choose a wholemeal or granary, ideally organic, with few preservatives or flavour enhancers.

Eat a variety of grains in your diet: Brown rice, Wholemeal bread and pasta, buckwheat, rye bread, etc.

Best wishes. x

You need to read the label. Multigrain does not mean whole multigrains most of the time.
