I believe we cry to release our emotions, however sad or happy. It 's an outlet for our physical and emotional responses to certain situations that occur in our lives. Some people cry more than others, as they are more sensitive to the their inner selves and their feminine sides. Women,in general, are more likely to cry about things than men, I believe. It's also very good for the soul, mind and body. I know that after I have had a great cry, I seem to feel rejuevinated and believe it releases serotonin levels in the brain that can also make you feel good.
