It varies. Some people don't get their wisdom teeth pulled at all, because they are not irritating them at all. But at around the age 21, the wisdom teeth erupt and cut the gum, causing pain. Further to this they could push on the existing teeth and cause a lot of pain. This could happen at any age from 21, although I knew someone at school who got his when he was 16!

Not everyone gets their wisdom teeth out.

If they don't hurt and don't cause problems you don't need them out.

wisdom teeth are just your 3rd molar and sometimes they will fit into place. Other times they will never come out, so you will never need them removed.

I tell my patients that if its causing pain, is hard to clean, or is causing decay then take them out.

Wisdom teeth normally come through (if not stuck) between the ages of 20 -25 but this age varies quite considerably. Some people don't even grow them at all!

its very unlikely that you would get your wisdom teeth out at 13!!!! they havn't even grown properly yet.

If needed the best time to get wisdom teeth pulled are late teens, early 20's. I had mine pulled when I was 24.

It's better to do it when they are young. In the mid to late teenage years. Too early and it's difficult and too late in life it's more difficult than during the teens. Good Luck

I got mine out at 13. It was not good! It hurt so bad! Do not consider to get them out unless you are suffering terrible pains from them or can see from an x-ray that they are horizontal.
