You should probably talk to her about how her computer addiction is affecting her life and her son's life. Maybe take her out to dinner or invite her over your house and then just gently talk to her about the situation. If you confront her aggressively, the odds are she is going to shut down, not listen, and probably walk out and leave. Most people who are addicts don't like to be confronted about their addiction because it means they have to face reality.
Try talking to her and make sure you can point out specific things that are happening in her life due to her addiction. If she is overweight you can gently suggest that perhaps her weight is also due to her spending tons of time on the computer. You might want to also mention what a tender age her son is at and that he needs parenting - 12y/o kids are at such an impressionable age!
Best of luck with this situation!

Your in kinda a tough situation. She is a grown woman so you can't really tell her what to do. The fact that she is obviously addicted to her computer/games is terrible - especially since it's effecting her son and her health (because she is overweight).
The only thing you can really do is sit her down and talk to her about what you see happening in her life. Let her know you care and you are concerned about her health, her son's life, and why she is spending her life on the computer. Since you say she is morbidly obese she probably finds solace in having online friends because they can't see her. Regardless, it's no excuse for her being a hermit and hopefully you can help her to see that.
Trying to break her computer or have her isp turned off won't do anything. She will only spend money to get the computer fixed and she will just have her isp turned back on, so don't waste your time with stuff like that.

Sadly, the fact is she's an adult and is allowed to make her own choices, even if they are harmful to her.
That said, since she has a 12 year old son, it is her responsibility to make sure he's being well cared for. If she is unwilling or unable to do so, then contact Child Protective Services (or whatever Child Welfare agency exists in your state) and report the situation. It's harsh, to be sure, but infinitely better than allowing such a young child to be neglected in such a way.
Your aunt is on her own, but her son needs your help. Help him.

She may have more compllex issues going on, including depression. Recommend to her that she get into therapy to "get healthier" so she can spend more quality time with her son.
I am guessing that dealing with her deeper issues is going to be the key to a more full life for her.

if she is morbidly obese -that is probaby the best life is going to get for her. she needs to take care of herself first - they worry about her kid, and get the rest of her life together.
