Do you dye your hair at home or at a salon?

both, i like the way it comes out better if I go to the salon but if I'm short on cash my mom does it for me at home. If I have a special occasion coming up though I definitly go to the salon.

I dye mine at home because the few times I had it professionally done they either made it look just as good as if I had done it or they botched it. By botch I mean my hair was light blonde and I picked out a sandy brown color and my hair came out pitch black. The woman even had the nerve to say " now doesn't that look nice?" I was sixteen and mortafied (oh yeah there was a refund). As I see it I will never be mad at the hair coorist, I know what to expect and not only have I saved time but money so I can go out with my friends who get their hair done professionally and are consistantly unsatisfied.

I do it at a salon because I have platinum blonde hair! My hair dresser does a really great job and the color I have isn't anything you can get from doing it yourself...She uses Aveda lightener and it's so amazing!

SALON! even though it costs more ... it looks way better! sometimes,unless you know what you're doing,the dye will turn out to be a different color over time.

I buy Garnier Nutrisse from the drugstores and then have my styler apply it. It works perfect. I know what I am putting on my hair and I do not make my shower messy. I buy the color for $6 and my styler charges $15.

I always dye my hair at a saloon , believe me the barber knows his job pretty well.

I stopped dying my hair, but I always did it at home - it's less expensive, takes less time and I don't have to tip myself!
