I dated a guy who was bi-polar. When I didn't know about it, I thought that it was always because of me when he was in "down mode." Once I found out, it was easier to deal with. The situation turned to "us" and not "me" or my fault. I would tell her what the condition is, how things are for you when you are having the problem, what she can do to help you. Keep it on a positive level as much as possible and be honest. If she loves you, she will be supportive and want to know how to handle the issues when they come up. I think overall, it will strengthen your relationship with her.

Is it causing your relationship a problem. Is there any reason to tell her. What is the nature of your illness .Will it come out so she knows you have it. Will she find your medication. How open minded is she. Some illness like depression and its various forms are extremely common. These are things you must address first yourself. I too suffer from a mental illness but medication controls it and I've actual have a better personalty I've been told. Mental illness need not be a handicap.Wait tell she ask you. If she ever does! I'm sure she's not telling you how many times a day she goes to the restroom. If she can't hand it -if you have to tell her. She was never worth your time in the fist place! Please exam some of the questions I've place before you to better decide the right thing to do. I hope I've been of assistance. Thank you

If you have mental issues, you shouldn't even be in a relationship when you didn't say it upfront in the beginning.
Also, internet relationships DO NOT WORK. Trust me, been there, done that. Unless you meet each other face to face on a regular basis then it has a shelf life of about six months to a year before both of you get tired.

Part of a relationship is being true and honest. You should of told her, but now is not too late. If she really cares for you it won't matter if you have a mental condition or not. She'll just see you as you really are: you.

You should be honest with her from the start.
If you really care for her (not only for yourself) you will tell her the truth, and let her make her own decision.
If she really cares for you, she will be able to handle it. Maybe she will appreciate your courage, honesty, and concern for her.
A relationship built on deception will not prosper.
The very best of luck to you!

what mental issues do you have? Manic depression? Obssessive compulsive? We need to know first before we can give advise.
