Ok I used that sun in spray for my hair this summer and i got some lovely highlights on the top of my head. It looks nice in a pony tail but not when i wear it down. I want to die the top part back to my origional color, which is brown. (not a light brown but not a dark brown). Is it possible to only die the top part of your hair or should i just have it done professionally?

My reaction to your question will in all probability disappoint you. however hairdressers and cosmetics distributors could such as you to have faith otherwise, many times the chemical compounds used to dye hair are detrimental to the structural integrity of the hair shaft. information you would be able to collect in this count from those with a vested interest will probable inform you that dying hair is a probability loose technique. you may probable get closer to the reality in case you have been to pose your question to an excellent dermatologist. Hair dye could upload man made pigment via a manner of oxidation, or it eliminate organic pigment , referred to as help, from the hair. while expert hairdresser, makes use of this technique, the wear is extremely minimum, very almost no longer something. while the hair is broken above 30%, the wear turns into extra significant. extra chemical, extra harm.

I have done it both ways... when I did it myself, I got a bottle of color (dye) from a beauty supply store. It was ok but looked pretty bland, without highlights at all. when I did it professionally, it looked much more natural -- not as matte and more healthy... I would say professional.

I would suggest professional help, but if that isn't an option I would suggest dying your hair back to the closest natural color, then get a highlighting kit to put the streaks you want back in.

It depends how much money you have and how brave you are. You can do it yourself. Apply the dye with a small brush, and just aim on the areas you want to colour. You can get kits nowadays with the brush and dye in them, designed so people can do their roots.

But if you have a bit more money get it done professionally as it's less likely to go wrong:)

You would probably be fine just using a medium brown all over your hair. But hair dye can be tricky. If you have the money, I would recommend going to a professional.

GET IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY!!! Sun In contains chemicals that are not compatible with hair tint. The stylist will have to strip tose chemicals out. If you ggo ahead and do it on your own, you may end up with green and/or very damaged, brittle lifeless hair.

Go to a salon. That sun in spray is the worst possible stuff you can put on your hair, I've heard.

If you've never done it yourself you should have it done professionally. It's too hard to get the color to match the rest of your hair otherwise.
