Make sure that the product you are selling is displayed in an appealing manner to the public. Be sure that your website is easy to navigate. Make the purchasing process as easy as possible. I am not sure what you are selling. Try to use good up-selling techniques. If someone chooses an item take advantage by offering accessories or other items that may appeal to the same person. Suggestion is a very helpful selling technique. Example: they click on an item for further information and you make a space that says "If you like this you may also like this item" w/ A pic and brief description of second item. Also be sure to tell them about both products features and benefits. Name 3 features of the item and how each feature can benefit the customer. Good luck w/ your business.

You can advertise on relevant free classifieds ( www.craigslist.org) ,directories (dmoz) and relevant forums. Major search engines like Yahoo, Google , MSN search are a major source of visitors for most websites and you can submit your website to these search engines for free. Jeez, if I know that I would be a millionaire! One thing you should do is make the purchase process very easy, and once they are purchasing something, use the oppoortunity to offer them something that goes with it.
