If you read in Daniel 7 about Nebuchadnezzar's dream and the five kingdoms that are represented by the statue, you will find that it accurattly depicts the empires of four kingdoms that have already come. 1) Babylonian (Nebuchadnezzar) 2)Persian (ruled by several too include Gangis Kahn and others) 3) Roman (the Cesars) and 4) German (Hittler). The dream says that each empire will rise up and control the world, but each one will be lesser that the previous. This will all happen befor the last kingdom which will be ruled by one that controls the ten kings that control the world. Funny how we devid the world now into ten distinct regions, (North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Aisa, the Orient, North Africa, South Africa, and Australia)

In Matthew 24 it talks about what will happen before the prophesies of old are to come to pass. The very first thing that Jesus predicts is that their will be Wars and Rumers of Wars. Sound familiar? Right now, there are more battles going on in the world that in any time in recorded history. This is the preview of what is to come. I know how scary all of this is, but it is what got me to trust Jesus Christ.

Dear kritikos43,

Yes the beginning of sorrows has begun. It is also known as the Great Tribulation. However, the true believer should not be looking at Jerusalem but in the Bible. Please look at Mark 4:33, 34. You see the Lord spoke in parables, and that is not only where the word "parable" is mentioned but all throughout the Bible. The terms Juerusalem, Judeah, the Temple, Zion, and there are others are all representative of the Kingdom of God. This is where the Bible is. Israel was representative of the Kingdom of God for 1480 years until Christ gave the responsibility for the word of God to the churches. Because the churches have changed the word of God (by making doctrines not consistent with the Bible), God ended using the churches in 1988. This date marks the end of the church age and the beginning of the Great Tribulation. Remember all those terrible things mentioned in Revelation are parabolic in nature--one must study the Bible to get the Spiritual meaning. You can see very clearly in 2 Thessalonians 2 what I have just described to you. Remember "Temple" is paprabolic for the local churches. The man of sin is satan, so do not look for some person. The Great Tribulation according to the Bible will lat 23 years and so, from everything we know right now, it appears that 2011 may be the year that Christ will return (Judgment Day and end of the world). You must understand the churhces have erroneoulsy taught that one of these days ALL of national Israel will come to realize that Jesus Christ is the Savior and will call on Him.. That is simply not true. As the Bible tells us that the Lord is going to save a remnant which is made up of individuals of every nation and tongue. Matthew (TWO "Tees"! LOL) 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

The world won't end until seventy weeks after everyone in the world has had some irritating personage knock on their door selling "The Watchtower".

Don't hold your breath!

it is as simple as this " SO IT IS WRITTEN SO IT SHALL COME TO PASS" the end is so near, God is preparing a place for those who have passed the earthly test. if you are born again and believe and accept God as you're personal savior then times of sorrow will only last on earth. im trying to say is that God said that there shall be a holy war. something in the bible states in so many words that Bush will cause the world to fall. look at 9/11. just look at the starving people around the world. our dear devoted president can help but what for he is on his side (the rich and not the poor) we shall all soon meet God and me I cant wait to be fighting on his side to bring down the walls of sin. my life will start when Jesus begins to place his precious feet back on earth. oh God what a day of rejoice! for there will be no more pain, sickness, death, sorrow ect. nothing but joy

The Beginning of Sorrows speaks about the start of the Tribulation, if I remember right.

I believe that this is the beginning of the end. What is happening now will eventually end up leading to the battle of armageddon. I think that this is all part of biblical prophecies and is the key for what is to come into the future.

Seems like, we are surely in the last days, so let us prepare and all do our part in telling people about Jesus. People need to be told that Bible prophecy is coming to pass, there should be an urgency in each one of us now to spread the good news of the Gospel.

Only God knows, but He also told us that we would know when the end is near..Keep your eyes on Israel and also on Damascus, In Isaiah 17:1-3 it says that Damascus will be destroyed, this has never happened in history, it is one of the oldest existing cities.

Well, today's new says that al-Qaeda is calling on all Muslims to rise and fight Israel, there is also news of Europe getting involved. The UN (Kofi Annan) is blaming Israel for "intentionally" hitting their "peacekeepers".....things aren't looking good....But if nations rise agaisnt Israel, it is definitely the beginning, and if you see them rebuild the temple in Jerusalem.....yeah.....
