For all you cowardly liberals hiding behind your fake excuses, your unwillingness to stand up against terrorism and Islamic extremists, they are embolden by your cowardess. As you liberal cowards hide and invent false excuses to save your own skins, pray that there are enough people willing to offer their own lives to protect your freedom of speech so you can continue to tell your lies, spew your misleading propaganda and criticize the fallen heros who died and gave you the liberty to criticize them. Now more than ever I am convinced that the statement that you are either with us or against us is accurate. If you aren't ademately against terrorism, you are aiding it by making terrorist believe they have allies, (which you are).

I applaud your commitment sir, and as a fmr Sgt in the Marines, I wish there was somenthing I could do to stand up for the side of right, which I believe to be Israel, but, please consider this. If you take a uniformed position with a foreign military, your status will be revoked, and you will no longer be an American citizen. And we need all of the good Americans we can get.

Man, it's really tiresome that so many people, be they conservative or liberal, always blame the other guy for every single bad thing under the sun.
As to your question, I don't know. If you wanted to volunteer, I'd assume that you'd have to speak Hebrew to understand orders, but lots of Jews emigrate to Israel, many who probably don't know any Hebrew, and they have to serve in the Israeli military, so I don't know.
Now as to the situation in Israel, Hezbollah is classed as a terrorist organization, and Israel does have the right to retaliate to get their kidnapped soldiers back, but they have to make sure that they're hitting the right people.

I think they will take you. You are a perfect candidate. You even quoted Bush for Christ's sake. They are not protecting our freedom, they are just creating more reason for other nation's people to despise us. I am in no way going to applaud you for your comments, but I do not blame you for being one of many people who are just plain ignorant to the facts of what is really happening in the Middle East. It is all propaganda and you are just one of many who have bought into it. They are killing innocent people for no good reason or a few that they have created. Do you really think that they are helping rescue this poor Israeli soldier? They most likely have blown him up with illegal US supplied weaponry already. You, my sir are making the terrorists believe they have allies, as you are offering your services to them directly. Have you no soul?

First of all, sir, I would like to applaud your courage and conviction.
Second of all, the answer to your question is yes. I had a friend from the Corps who went to Israel 6 months ago to enlist in the IDF. They made him start over from Basic, though, and he couldn't keep his rank. But the option is open. I myself may be enlisting there after I finish my five years. P.S. As for the language issue - part of Basic is a course in Hebrew for non-speakers.
