Tell your g/f to go to her doctor -- would be a kind gesture if you paid for the visit -- and ask about this. It's common, and allergy medications really do help!
Also, clean the house really well. Vacuum before she comes over, etc.

Find a girlfriend whos not allergic. If she is willing to tolerate the cat though, theres things that can be done. Clean up good like vaccuming and wash your sheets before she comes over, give her some allergy med, or she can take shots.

Allergy meds, visit the doctor. Don't get rid of the poor cat just because she is allergic. Its your cat not hers is it not?

Very good question. I did this for awhile, took allergy pills every single day. Then one day, his mom wanted a cat and the rest is history. Gave me a reason not to go to the evil mothers house.

if the relationship is going somewhere, goodbye cat but if you can't see yourself with her in the future, kick her to the curb or just get her some allergy medicine so then everyone's happy.
