do this: a million. In homestead windows Explorer (aka My pc in homestead windows XP or pc in homestead windows Vista), navigate to C:application FilesMicrosoft workplace 2. In that listing, run a search for for winword.exe 3. once you locate it, properly-click on it and choose Create Shortcut. A pop-up will ask you in case you choose to create it on the computer. click sure. that ought to do it.

Right click and choose rename. Then call it whatever you want qithout the words shortcut to appearing.

TweakUI from Micrsoft's XP Power Toys has an option to turn that off.

Just right-click on the item you wanna rename, and choose 'rename'.
