Life? Life is good but then life is bad. Here I am 21 yrs old not going to college, living with my sister but ready to be on my own. Holding down two jobs but bills keep growing and growing. I am at a stage in my life where I don't know what to do. who I am, or where I want to go in life. Don't think I am crazy. Sometimes I feel like crying. I know that I am not depressed but may somebody has been at this stage before. Yes I know that it will all pass but what to do is my question ?

You feel out of control because you apparently are spending more money then you're making. Get that under control, and everything else will begin to fall into place. Being in debt, and having that debt continue to grow, is overwhelming. Focus on that so you can breathe again and get your bearings.

Remember that this time in your life will pass. Remember that its okay to cry. Just dont let the crying take over your life. Focus on the positve. Take a day to relax. Do something fun. Enjoy yourself. But the best thing you can do to feel better is to help other people. You will take the focus off of what is wrong in your life, and onto what is wrong in others lives and how you can change that. Volunteer at a homeless shelter, school, retirement home, or hospital. It will make you feel a million times better about yourself, trust me. You will realize that other people have it alot worse than you do and you will be more grateful for what you have. Slowly, you will change yourslef. Plus, keep in mind the possibility of meeting someone while you are doing all that service.

Set goals, short and long . . . then map out the requirements to meet those goals. If you don't have a map, people tend to get off track or lost once in a while. This works if you put some honest effort into it.
I never went to college, I'm 38 with limited skills but I think I'm happy with where I'm at now. Even if I'm not, I can change my map that will bring me in the right direction I believe I want to go.
Life will always be a challenge and there are no definite answers.
Good luck!

Hi mandy,

you are present stuck in what we call a 'bill-problem' stage because your efforts are just reflecting a the bills that you are receiving.

Stop for a couple of minutes and reflect on what you are doing. Write your problems down on your diary. You may need to search for a second job for more income or you may need to re-schedule your life-style.

Don't panick otherwise you will make a lot of mistakes. Take it easy.

What are the bills that keep growing and growing?

You need to cut some of your needs and get the finances under control to give you a better perspective as to what you can do with your life.

The bills keep growing because you keep spending!!!
Put yourself on a budget.
Apply for college loans/grants.
Figure out what you want to do when you grow up and make plans to accomplish it.
Only you can change your life.

Things will get better. Just live one day @ a time. Maybe seek counseling. There's nothing wrong with counseling.
