With baptism you enter into a covenant to take upon yourself the name of Christ and to do those things which Christ would do. The gift of the Holy Ghost is the way that God helps us know His will and what He would have us do. The Holy Ghost guides us in keeping the covenant of baptism.

In the Roman Catholic Church, there are three sacraments of initiation - Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist.

In Baptism, a person joins the family of Christians by being baptized with water in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Confirmation, a person receives the sacramental gift of the Holy Spirit, who gives us gifts, strengths, and an even stronger connection to God. In Eucharist, we continually partake the sacrifical meal which is spiritual food for the journey.
