MY EXAMPLE

She taught, by example, how to dress like a Christian woman. Although she was well dressed, Mother did not conform to the fashion of the world. She was a conservative. "Always remove one piece of jewelry before you leave the dressing room," she would tell me. She never wore earrings, or lipstick, and never, NEVER dark red nail polish--in fact, no nail polish at all. For her, it was a sign of "worldliness." It used to be for everyone. To mother, this was "world conformity"--and maybe she was right? When GERTRUDE SANBORN got up to teach or sing, her clothes, her jewelry, or her hairdo did not distract her listeners. They saw Jesus.

I would say it is okay. As long as it doesn't detract and is fresh and clean. It is not permanent it is just for decoration. I don't think painting toenails is necessary, some studies have found that the nail polish can be toxic to the body. It depends upon where a person is spiritually and what their values are. Some people don't even worry about these things. Myself, some days it seems okay other days it seems not necessary.

the idea that you are concerned is sweet...but do you really think that the creator of the heavens and the earth the great I AM is really concerned about such finite things? although i think you should do what feels right to you as well...however, if good and powerful words backed by the Holy Spirit are coming out of your mouth, then people will LISTEN!!! Kathryn Kulhman was a great woman of God and she wore make-up...so it can be argued both ways...but i do hate it when women have to struggle over such minute things, when the question never arises for men...women of power and of spirit, to me, should be concerned most with remaining effective yet humble and having sincerity and something backing up those words...

There is no Biblical prohibition of nail painting, make-up, or anything of that nature to improve one's looks, unless the purpose behind doing it is to sexually entice someone other than your spouse. Otherwise, none of the above are prohibited. Furthermore, God is not pleased by a refusal to wear nail paint. He's pleased by the attitude that says, "I want to reflect Christ to the world." If you're led by the Spirit not to paint your nails, then by all means, don't. You cannot assume, however, that others are so led. Hope that helps.

I am a Christian Woman, and I love my toes. I paint them because I think it is pretty. I don't care about fashion or anything like that I dress how I want. Currently my toes nails are bright red. I think they are so pretty.

God blessed me with pretty toes why not dress them up.

Maybe she should have just forgotten clothing all together. That seems awfully distracting, though I'd imagine if she didn't have all that worldly clothing on, everyone would be paying attention to her.

i assume adult males can do it, too. in case you wanna stand out do it. particularly it quite is in simple terms females that do it and that i'm not so advantageous that females like adult males with painted nails and feet. goths+emos now and returned paint their finger nails black. (no offense, and sorry if it quite is stereotyping).

Why shouldn't Christian women paint their toes? I'm Christian and I paint my toes and no one's said anything.

If they want to paint their toe nails, then they should paint their toe nails. If they don't, then it'd be good to avoid.

There is no Christian dress-code ... it is all arbitrary.
