My cousin cut herself and she bled a lot and it went onto her clothes. When she washed it, the blood turned all her clothes (bra, underwear, shirt, shorts) pink. Anyways, she still wear the shirts and underwear that are turned pink by the blood. I don't think that's really healthy and just plain weird? Can anyone confirm that it's sick to do that?

She accidentally cut herself...She is NOT a cutter.

Well the fact that she got cut is a bad thing. But the blood on her clothes is fine. Yes, they arn't their natural color, but they arn't unsanitary or anything. Don't worry about it, no biggie.

If the clothes were washed, I don't think there is a health hazard -- it is her own blood, and I am assuming she doesn't have AIDS or anything. If the blood is on her bra and underwear, no one will notice anyway. If she chooses to wear the shirt and shorts, it's her own business. Maybe she enjoys telling her gruesome tale of blood and guts to people who ask. Just a thought.

I'd be more concerned about the blood loss at the time of the initial injury than her clothes. I have shirts that I bled on from busting my knuckles or getting scratches on my face/arms from working on cars, but I keep them around;

A) Because I don't have to ruin any other clothes
B) It doesn't bother me. They're washed, they're as clean as they're going to get.

It's just a stain, like ketchup or tomato sauce, except it happened to originate from blood instead. I really don't think it's weird or sick, in and of itself.

Well there's nothing wrong with wearing clothes that have been stained by blood. There IS however something wrong with cutting yourself. If you really want to help your cousin, stop worrying so much about her dirty clothes and start worrying about her mental/physical health. Take her to the hospital (they can tell you what to do) or to a counselor.

The blood stained clothing is a trophy.
The wierd part is cutting herself. People who cut themselves are very hostile and tend to have Borderline Personality Disorder. She needs to be encouraged to go into therapy.

What do u mean it's sick?Why wouldn't she wear them any more?I think you are overreacting or maybe you have some sort of phobia towards blood.This is no sicker than if she had stained her clothes with anything else.It is certainly not very elegant to wear stained clothes,but it is not sick either.

Blood is one of the hardest things to get out of fabric. While it may be weird, maybe she can't afford to buy new clothes right now.

Does it really matter. Bleach will do the trick and if she bled that much I would be really worried about her. I don't think it is to abnormal they are clean just a different shade.
