What color of highlights would look best on dark dark brown hair?

i would like like an ash blonde color, to make my highlights look more dramatic!What do yall think?I dont' want reddish looking highlights, PLEASE HELP ME...IGET MY HIGHLIGHTS DONE IN A WEEK.

I think you should do a light brown or a dark blonde. Great idea with the ash blonde color. OR do white highlights in the front.

when you go to get your hair highlighted ask them for blond and after they do the highlights tell them you want a toner.. this will make you hair look natural and really pretty but yet you can tell that you have highlights. My hair is dark brown and i had this done and i get soo many commliments. Hope this helps...

Light brown, blonde stripes in your hair wont look very good. You could go for a variety of colors, not as weird as it sounds. Think of it this way... how many celebs do you see with blonde chunks or stripes in their dark hair, slim to none. There is a reason for it.

Get either a golden brown/blonde or a light brown, either of those would compliment dark brown hair. Do NOT get ash blonde, those will wash you out because it will badly contrast with your dark hair.

k i can answer this because i have really dark hair. Blonde looked horrible when i did it. so i went natural all over again. i personally would have pref. a light brown

Do caramel or honey. PLEASE don't do ash - it's so fake looking and harsh. I've never met anybody who looks good with ash blond highlights on dark hair.
