I heard this is a new trend and I've read a few studies, but I've only seen that clover cigs dont cause more damage than normal. Does that mean they are safer? Are they less addictive? I used to smoke, I quit 3 yrs ago but I went out the other night and took a puff of a clover cig. I like them but I really dont want to start smoking again. I'm hoping that I can smoke them every once and a while (like I do with Black n Mild Cigars) and not feel the urge like you do with regulars..I know this sounds nieve (sp) but if you've ever smoked and quit you know the urge never goes away. Does anyone know?

They are worse. Clove oil is highly irritating to the skin and to mucus membranes. They do smell nice, though.

No cigarette is "safe". The clove cigarettes are made with just that, cloves. They have some tobacco mixed in, I think, thats why you still have to be 17 to buy them. The risk is lowered because of the lowered nicotene and tar but still potentially dangerous. If you have been quit for 3 years, congrats. Try to keep it that way you'll feel better in the long run.

People always think that CLOVE (not clover) cigarettes are trendy and hip, but I'm in my fifties, and people were smoking them back when I was young (and they thought that they were being all trendy and hip and rad back then, too!). AAMOF, they might even date back to my grandma's time--in the Flapper Era!

To the extent that they don't have/have less nicotine in them, they're healthier than tobacco cigs. But face it: It's really NOT HEALTHY to take smoke into your lungs, period!

no cloves are not safer, they can actually be more harmfull. and the urge to smoke after quitting is usually manageable, but sometimes when stressed i really wish i had one... i quit years ago.
