Not spicy at all. Kind of taste like a slightly tart green tomato. Makes a great salsa.

Tomatillas have a crisp crunch when bitten into. They are like a green tomato in color and like a cross between a kiwi and a green tomato with the crunch of an apple. THey are great in salsas ; and are the main ingredient in salsa verde. They come wrapped in a brown husk sometimes and you just remove the husk, throw it out and use the fruit inside. The are not too expensive so look for some online recipes, buy a few and experiment.

AKA Tomate Verde:
These look like small green tomatoes with a thin parchment-like skin.Often called a mexican green tomatoes
and they have a somewhat lemon-apple flavor, great for salads and salsas. The smaller they are the sweeter they will be and
remember to remove the husks before cooking.
