It may be a strange place to go for facts, but it's a GREAT place to go to find interested people! If someone answers your question in a way that you like, you can usually ask them for more information through email and the like. And THEN you can get the facts from a person you like!

Good point.
I am here to try and lead believers into deeper truth. Unfortunately, most people are not concerned with what the Bible says. They tend to express their opinions, but don't use God's word to support what they say.
The apostle Paul prayed that we all come to a unity of the faith. How can we do that without scripture?

Occasionally people that ask serious questions and are honestly looking for good debate can get well thought out answers. I know I have from time to time.

P.S. and by well thought out... I don't mean the insane cutting and pasting by people like Deepest-Blue there...

Because those religious types feel it's their job to annoy everyone else with their senseless BS. Even though none of it is true.

Religion is like your sex life, it may be great, but most people really don't want to hear about it.

Not really. People often ask questions not to find out anything new, but rather to find someone else who agrees with them. They are often looking to validate themselves. It's a rare occasion that someone really wants to learn something from other people about religion.

Maybe cause they think that people who are involved in a particular religion might have more answers. Or they are just addicted to Yahoo! Answers.

You come here to get other peoples views and insights. And sometimes the advise you get is good stuff. Especially if mainworry is answering your question. When he answers, pay attention! He knows his stuff!

So we help to the best of our ability.

the Bible is the best place to go but no one wants to go there, its easier to believe what someone else says than the actual truth from the mouth of God.
