that cremation goes against what God intended for us? Do you think it is wrong from a Christian stand-point? Is there anything in the bible about it that I haven't found yet? Thanks and God Bless.

Those who oppose it point to places in the Bible that say that God will raise our bodies from the dead...they feel that if we cremate, then there's nothing to raise. But this makes two mistakes 1) God can do whatever God wants--don't think God can't remake the body if God desires. 2) Bodies deteriorate anyway, and can easily be as destroyed naturally as cremation does artificially....These same people would have to hold that God can't/won't raise from the dead Christians who died in super-fires (Hiroshima, Dresden, etc.)

Christians have died in fires and were cremated in those fires. Some have drowned at sea and are still in the sea.

I personally would NOT want to be cremated simply because Joseph and many others in the Old Testament wanted to be buried in Jerusalem for they knew that the resurrection would take place there, and it did when Jesus rose on Easter morning.

I prefer the worms eat me instead.

Actually, I believe in the rapture so I'm not worried about dying.

I don't think cremation is a sin, just a preference
especially with the high cost of burials these days...

I believe that cremation makes no difference. Unlike the Catholic belief that cremation burns the soul, I believe that, since the soul is gone from the body, it will not hurt to be cremated.

It is prefectly alright to us. God judge us according to our body, mind and speak while we are alive , not our remains.
