Oh wow!! I feel for you. I know they are the absolute pitts. I have suffered with them since I was approximately 12 yrs old. I have taken so many drugs and have had numerous tests---nothing. I am currently off work on a medical disability for having them so bad I could no longer work. I have been given so many suggestions and I am yet to find anything that works permanently. I pray that God heals me once and for all and you too. I was just in the ER on Monday with an episode that lasted 6 days straight.
I pray that you are healed soon and this is not passed on to your children. Here's to your health.

There are a lot of good suggestions here, so let me add another just to expand your options. It might be beneficial for you to see a chiropractor.

Contrary to popular belief, chiropractic deals with more than just "neck and back pain." Chiropractic is founded in the belief that the Central Nervous System (brain, spinal cord, and nerves) controls EVERY bodily function. A misalignment of the vertebrae (what chiropractic calls a subluxation) can pinch the nerves running out between them, causing pain, numbness/tingling, or any type of general malfunction in that nerve's corresponding body part. Our nervous system is really complex and interconnected, so it's important to make sure the nerves exiting out of the spine aren't being pinched or damaged.

I'm not saying that this will be a definite solution to your problem, but it might be something to consider. I used to work in a chiropractic office and saw how it helped many people with chronic migraine headaches and sinus headaches. Chiropractic is a safe, non-invasive healthcare option that doesn't rely on drugs that may have potentially unwanted side effects.

If you do decide to see a chiropractor, it would be in your best interest to ask family and friends for recommendations, visit a few offices and pick the doctor that you are most comfortable with. No matter what you decide to do, I sincerely hope that things improve for you! I think you've suffered for long enough!

Yes.

Go for a manual one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax. The effect on the self-healing power of the body is simply amazing - own experience. :-)

Usually migraines should disappear totally within a few weeks.

At present, the treatment is available in California and Europe only, costing about 200 Dollars. Good luck!

If you feel it coming on, go rest in a dark cool room. or if that never works for you, try a hot shower sometime the steam helps. You could also try switching your pain medication (advil, tylenol, excedrin etc..) There maybe an underlying problem, like I've had migraines for a while until I had jaw surgery cause my jaw clicked and locked.. as soon as I had surgery I've been migriane free with the occassional headache.
A massage normally works, either a neck massage or a foot massage. Tea also works, same with a cool bath or a cool clothe on your forhead... I hope these suggestions help.

If you've been having migraines from an early age, you need to go see an eye doctor to get your eyes checked out and a general practitioner to refer you to a specialist for your head. Migraines occur when there's too much or too lil blood flow around your brain and the lil blood vessels pulsate making it painful. It can be caused by a million things top 3 being - Stress; Allergic reaction; Retinal stress.

I got a perscription for Imatrex, but it didn't work that well. But Excedrin migraine works GREAT for me. Give it a try if you haven't already.

Do some web research. There are things that can set your headaches in motion, such as chocolate. Eating very healthy is supposed to help.
