How did the human population rebound so fast?
Genealogies in Genesis put the Tower of Babel about 110 to 150 years after the Flood [Gen 10:25, 11:10-19]. How did the world population regrow so fast to make its construction (and the city around it) possible? Similarly, there would have been very few people around to build Stonehenge and the Pyramids, rebuild the Sumerian and Indus Valley civilizations, populate the Americas, etc.

Hey, Noah was a party animal, what with his getting loaded all the time and stuff. It only stands to reason the rest of his family was getting wasted and getting busy all over the place!

AND... they must have really dug the cousin/sister luvin' too in order to make so many people so fast.

It doesn't really follow that they could have. As the first person said "Everyone would have super populated"

But the simple fact of the matter is that, technology has to exist that allows a certain level of production. You can't just have an effective population explosion if you don't have the technology to justify it. People are able to increase the population of the planet today because there is the technology to support the production necessary for that level of population. So, who knows how the world repopulated itself in 110 to 150 years. Maybe there was a typo and they missed a diget or something.

Fast growing populations double every 20 years. In 150 years, a population will have doubled 7-8 times, or grown by a factor of about 200. 1000 survivors of the flood could grow to 200,000 in that time, theoretically.

Just look how fast the human population has grown in the last 20 years! Add to that the fact that there was no birth control, people lived longer, and having many children was not only acceptable but preferred...and you can see how fast the population on earth would explode!

Because the flood is just a metaphor for the earth being cleansed by god. It didn't happen that way and people weren't wiped out. There were flood stories in every culture and the bible just repeated it. Geneaologies is wrong and gets the dates all screwed up. Archaeologically, the great flood of Noah has never been proven.

Saying that people had more kids doesn't work.
They had more kids because most of them died in childbirth or very early, and life expectancy was to around age 40.

Yeah, that is kind of hard ot explain.
