The lie is the Laws are done away with.

Matt 19:17 ... But if you would enter into life, keep the Laws of Yahweh (Keep the commandments)."

When we compare the international and national laws of the lands that are under the unseen control of “the father of the lie,” Satan the Devil, with Jehovah’s law, we can join the psalmist in saying: “Your law is truth. You are near, O Jehovah, and all your commandments are truth.” (John 8:44; Psalm 119:142, 151) So by “walking in the law of Jehovah,” we, like the psalmist, will be safeguarded from walking in the way of worldly error to our own hurt, bodily and spiritually. This works for our happiness. (Psalm 119:1) It works for our having divine blessing and approval. This affects our hearts.

Our being fond of Jehovah’s law leads to salvation. The psalmist owned up to this when he said: “If your law had not been what I am fond of, then I should have perished in my affliction.” (Psalm 119:92) His affliction was not some death-dealing sickness. He was under affliction from the presumptuous (toward God), who were hating him and persecuting him. Under the pressure he would have yielded to the aims of such Israelites and have gone contrary to Jehovah’s will if he had not loved God’s law so much. What a fine example the psalmist is to us today who are under such pressure from a world in which lawlessness abounds to such an extent that the love of the majority of mankind has cooled off during this conclusion of the system of things!—Matthew 24:3, 12.

Hi.

It's a lie that the laws are done away with because the bible didn't say that. The bible says that Christ fulfilled the law. The law is just and good but the problem is that it can't justify men. It can't make men righteous. Only Jesus can. The rich young man went to Jesus in Mat 19:16-17 but Jesus knows his true intention which is why in vs 17, He asked the rich young man why he ask Him the question.

You know, none of us can attain salvation and right standing before God because none of us can meet the full standards of the law. Only Jesus can and He did it.

On that cross, Jesus died to make a divine exchange, to exchange His righteousness with our sins. Today, God see us as righteous, and perfect because we are in Christ who fulfilled (not do away) all the laws.

And like you bring out in Psa 119:142, His righteousness is everlasting and we have this everlasting righteousness. Now is this good news or not?

Shalom.

Those laws of man that counter act the laws of God, on a religious stand point, i think would be the lies of man to deceive the people to follow another human rather than continuing to prosper with His ground rules so to speak. The lie would be that which turns the people away from the laws that came first and foremost from the almighty.

If the law is the truth, then the ones who make the truths are the lie.

All laws are commandments.

Not all commandments are laws.

We still have commandments from our Heavenly Father, even today.

The law that was done away with was that we would receive justice. Thanks to Jesus, we can receive mercy instead.

Doesn't mean we should ignore the commandments that haven't been repealed.

to me the lie would be thinking you can be perfected by the law...or justified by it...its impossible to keep the law therefore everyone is condemned by it.

Just about ever other religious writing that does not agree with The Holy Bible. Jesus Christ is the Only Way to Heaven!

In The Holy Bible in John14:6 “Jesus saith unto, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” He meant: I am the only way to get to God the Father and to heaven. I am the only truth you need to know to get to God the Father and to heaven. I am the only spiritual life available to mankind. In other words, I am the only true and living God. All other so-called gods are false gods. They are not real. They do not exist. They are Satan or his demons appearing to be gods. No other so-called god has any power to forgive, remove and cleanse men from all their sins and get them to God the Father and to heaven.
The Holy Bible in Hebrews 11:6 says “But without faith it is impossible to please him (God); for he that cometh to God must believe (have faith) that he (God) is, and that he (God) is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (God).” Parentheses mine!
I pray that, by faith, you will acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only true and living God. (Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus {that Jesus is Lord} and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believed unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”).
I pray you will believe all of this and, by faith, accept the fact that you are a sinner needing to be saved from all your sins (Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” and Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”) and that the blood Jesus Christ shed for you at Calvary is the only way you can have all your sins forgiven, removed and cleansed and the only way you can get to God the Father and to heaven. I pray you will, by faith, acknowledge all of this and ask Jesus Christ to forgive, remove and cleanse you from all your sins and accept Him into your heart and life to live for Him the rest of your life. (John l :12 But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to come sons {children} of God, even to them that believe on his name.”) All of this is what is meant when the Lord Jesus Christ said: “Jesus answered, and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto, Except a man be born again , he cannot see the kingdom of God (go to heaven).” You were born physically into your earthly family. To go to heaven you must be born again spiritually into your heavenly family, God's spiritual family. I pray you will, by faith, turn from all your sins and receive Jesus Christ into your life/heart today, without delay. Do that today.
