No, what about all of christ's apostles?

A christian is that who walks in the footsteps of christ. You don't need a book to do it.

You can be a good christian without having read the Bible. I have always lead a good Christian life, go to church, pray daily, etc. But for whatever reason, have yet to sit down and read from the Bible. We do it at church, but I havent yet done it on my own. That doesnt make me any less a christian. And the analogy of the doctor? Really? A doctor goes to school and takes exams to become certified and licenesed to be a doctor. Church is about faith.

No, because doctors usually get Sundays off -budumpump.

But really, it all depends on what your definition of a Christian is. I have not read the Bible nor do I consider myself a typical Christian.

No, that's not fair. That's expecting too much. Most Christians are functionally illiterate, anyway... just look at some of the questions and answers they post here. No... it is quite possible... common, even, for Christians to get their brains washed without ever picking up a bible. All they've got to do is 'believe' (substitute for thinking)... the stuff that they believe can get crammed in there by preachers, by TBN... any number of ways.

Unlike a doctor, a Christian requires no special skill.
Sure someone can be called a Christian if they have not read the bible, they will just be an Christian who is ignorant of much of their religion.

I might call him a doctor, but that doesn't mean I would let him practice on me. Same with an unlearned Christian. They can be a Christian without reading the Word. Most of us are. So should I think they are going to get everything right immediately and take what they say as "gospel"? nope. hopefully they will will grow and learn.

All Christians (Born lower back) study the bible very few go away from the religion. If a youthful lady watched a perplexing labour transport could she i ask your self ever risk being pregnant. God does not could desire to be justified and He purely gave 10 regulations the non secular leaders of the day further hundreds. as quickly as Jesus became up and all started breaking the regulations the non secular leaders sought to have Him killed. They accused Him (Jesus) as being a devil for healing on the Sabbath day. the thank you to understand the midsection of God is to start examining the bible on the gospel of John proceed to revelation then study the previous testomony. a variety of of the previous testomony is repeated in the recent and Jesus is revealed in lots of scriptures in the previous

The real question shouldn't be about being "Christian," that is simply a word. The question should be about being "SAVED." A person who has read the Bible and claims to be a Christian can still go to hell if they haven't accepted Christ into their lives. Likewise, someone who has never read the Bible can make it into Heaven if they have accpeted Christ.

Now, to clarify, YOU SHOULD read the Bible if you belive in Jesus Christ and you should try to live the Christian life that is outlined in the Bible.

But to answer your question directly, yes, you can still be called a Christian even if you haven't read the bible. (And you can still be called a demon even if you have read it)

If the person follows Christs, regardless of where those beliefs came from, I'd say he/she's a Christian. If you had to read the bible to be Christian, iliterate people could never be considered Christian.
