When those amnestied in 1986 became able, they applied to bring in family. They didn't all wait until the applications went through. I understand that up to 1/3 of the illegals here may be family of the people given amnesty in 1986.
I suspect newly amnestied people would want to bring in family, too. That is why when I discuss amnesty of screened illegals I specify ONLY THOSE ALREADY HERE and WITH NO ABILITY TO BRING IN OTHERS EXCEPT THROUGH OTHER QUOTAS.
Otherwise 12 to 20 million at least quadrupals without even leaving the family line.

I like Dars answer, and pretty much feel the same way. On the other hand, I don't really know any illegals.

If we give any illegal amnesty, it will send a message to the entire world that our borders are open. Then, another shock wave will occur. Mark my words.

Tell me something, if your family sent you to another country as soon as you turned 18, and you had not seen them in a couple of years, wouldn't you want them there with you too?

i dont understand, but all immigrants want to bring others here.. thats why we cant trust them.
