i was driving yesterday and putting on my make up while talking to my ex.bf and soon to be father of my child we were arguing and i was pulled over for going 65 in a 35 mile zone i was late to my doctors appointment and have been really stressed. i got into a fight to the police officer and smacked him with my purse not hard though and started screaming and crying threw a fit basically. does pregnancy help me out in court i have to go next week and i am nervous? i now have a speeding ticket, reckless driving fine, and assault on a police officer. do you think i can get some off this lowered or dropped?

With a little luck, they'll pull your license. We don't need any more idiots speeding while talking on the phone and putting on makeup, let alone assaulting cops.

Assuming that this is a legit post, you'll probably pull 3 - 5 years for assaulting a peace officer so your insurance rates won't be an issue for several years. Your baby will go into foster care unless a family member collects it within 24 hours of its birth.

Being preggers won't help -- if anything it will piss the judge off since you're being so irresponsible with another life to consider.

Your attorney will explain all the grim details to you.

P.S. While you're in the slammer, see if you can get them to perform a cranio-rectilotomy for you. You need one!

Definitely get a lawyer. Pregnancy may get you a little sympathy, but not much.

Your insurance is going to go way up, and you will have a police record for the assault.

ya, ur screwed unless u start praying now.
ur insurance wont only hit the roof, itll go through, ur gunna have to mortgadge everything you have, if you are divorced hand your kids to their father for a while so you can get some time to cool off and gather up some money to pay the fines. no you cant get it lowered because a fine is a fine.

If you have assaulted an officer were you arrested. I would contact a lawer. And yes your insurance will go up, the amount depends on your policy.

Pregnancy excuse won't help...or at least shouldn't.

pregnency will proabably help a little bit....your insurence will hit the roof if this goes through cuz u have to driving charges againest u.....if u could talk to th cop alon to see if he could drop the charges and then explain to him your situation hopefully he will be sympathetic enough to drop them but on the other hand if he is an a$$ hole cop then he wont do that

A lawyer would be helpful. I doubt if you'll get off easily (being pregnant doesn't make too much difference in court...). You'll be fined, have court costs, and, yes, ins. will go up.

no pregnancy is nto an excuse for reckless driving..nor is it an excuse for assualt on a police officer

sorry but your probly going to jail for the assualt..and community service for the wreckless driving..and license revoked..and probly when the babys born cps will be notified...

theres no way outa that one. think before! you have a child on the way!

your ins will go up, but not intil your renewal...I would just go to court, and let the judge know that your body is going thru things and ask them if they can waive the points
