IF LIFE HAS TAUGHT US ANYTHING, IT'S THAT YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER ALL POSSIBILITIES IF YOU'RE GOING TO COME ANYWHERE CLOSE TO HITTING THE TRUTH OR FACTS. HOW CAN "SOME" CHRISTIAN'S SIT THERE AND GO ON AND ON ABOUT GOD BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THEIR PARENTS TAUGHT THEM TO DO AND ON DOWN THE LINE. HOW CAN YOU REALLY SAY YOU BELIEVE SOMETHING SO FIERCELY AND NOT EXHAUST ALL ASPECTS OF THAT BELIEF.

Because it is easier to let someone else do you thinking for you and then just parrot back what they tell you beleive than to think for yourself. Our society-- in all facets, including religion-- is one that shuns individual and critical thought. Just accept the status quo and don't think about it. You'll feel better and it will be easier.

For the most part, they are believing what they have been taught by parents, mentors, or other people who they value advice from. Then, there is also the "faith" aspect, as Christians are usually taught that questioning the facts is not faith, and their religion is based on faith.

So, why do you ask a question and then try to answer it yourself. That isn't attempting to gain knowledge. It is being argumentative and it's usually successful at starting fights. Not a good negotiation tactic.

Ernest Renan, French historian and religious scholar

“Jesus was the greatest religious genius that ever lived. His beauty is eternal, and his reign shall never end. Jesus is in every way unique, and nothing can be compared to him.”

Famous Napoleon Bonarpart quotes about Jesus Christ:

“His religion is a revelation from an intelligence which is certainly not that of a man.”

“I know men; and I tell you Jesus Christ is not a man. Superficial minds see a resemblance between Christ and the founders of empires, and the gods of other religions. That resemblance does not exist.”

You don't have to be an expert to believe in something. For example, I believe in the Caps Lock button, unlike some. But that doesn't mean that I'm going to make an accusation about their beliefs and have them read the History of the Caps Lock Button.

That is wrong. We should learn about all religons and then speak from their aspect. The leaders of religions or anyone following a religon must have knowledge about their religon if they want 2 preach it in any manner.

Because all cults expect their followers to be ignorant of reality, to be cut-off from the real world, to not question the world around them or the tactics of their perfered cult.
