what are some things i can do to not get caught when telling a lie?

I'm talking about when you are face to face with someone.
What are tips to not give yourself away.

Thats not possible, to keep from getting caught you have to lie to cover another lie. You will eventually forget the lies that you are trying to hide and the story will be totally different the next time you have to tell it.

Just don't lie, honesty is the best way.

sounds like you are talking about the cops. keep your story as close to the truth as possible and do not fidget. if you look someone in the eyes, hold it, don't look away immediately. the most important thing of all, be relaxed and do not be nervous, or at least show it. don't think about getting caught or what's in the car, just think about the speeding ticket and the cop (if that's what it is). your eyes are what give you away so make sure that they are open and relaxed, not darting around.

Look them straight in the eyes, and dont play with anything in your face. Those are tell-tell signs of a liar. Or, you can just NOT LIE in the first place!
