If they are still with their mother than they will cry every few hours to be fed. They will cry if they are separated from their siblings, especially if they still have their eyes closed.

Kittens will cry when ever, remember they are babies. As far as when it's night out, I had a cat that every night for seven years he cried, meowed or what ever, it sounded like he was lost, I know he wasn't cause he was in the house. Now that he's gone, it's quiet and weird, so if they're doing it now get use to it if you keep them, it may continue for years.

kittens do cry at night because i have four of them and they just need attention like a human baby. if you play with them alot they will get tired and feed them alot also they will get full and want to sleep. so good luck.

They do, and a really easy, really cheap solution is to fill up an empty plastic milk jug with warm water and wrap it in an old shirt. That way your kitten has something warm to cuddle up against, but it also has something with your scent on it, which makes it associate you with warmth and safety.
